King Gyanendra [Nepal]

"Ron tried to offer me monopoly money for my beautiful wife Queen Komal.  He even had the audacity to use his left hand when handing it over!"

"Then Ron pointed his foot at my sacred monkey.  His offensiveness holds no bounds.  Ron is no longer allowed inside my castle! "

Autocratic, absolutist and impermeable to advice, King Gyanendra has shown an unerring capacity to do exactly the wrong thing for his country and for the survival of his own institution: He has fueled Nepal's increasingly ugly conflict with his crackdown on dissent and his insistence on a military solution for the Maoist insurgency.

i think that all this has to be viewed with an understanding of what happened in 2001. the massacre of the entire royal family (well, almost) while mr. gyanendra was out in the woods is sure something that stinks of consipracy. and the guy who killed the entire royal family (well, almost) killed himself too, and it was in a fit of anger cuz his mom didn't allow him to marry the girl he loved.

what's happening now may be retribution, or it may just be misfortune for king gyanendra who didn't manage things too well after everyone else died. heard he turned nepal into an autocracy (for the sake of order) and did many things that made himself unpopular.

but does he deserve this? don't know....
